Refrigerator FAQs:

Q: Why has my refrigerator stopped working?
A:  Check if your unit is connected to a power source. If there is no power, check the fuse or circuit  breaker. If that hasn’t helped the problem then its probably coming from a bad compressor or thermostat. Contact a professional technician to help you fix the problem.

Q: What is the best temperature to set my refrigerator and freezer to?
A: For your refrigerator to work efficiently set it between 36 and 38°F. And your freezer should be set  between 0 to 5°F.

Q: Why has my freezer stopped cooling?
A: Perhaps is set on the wrong setting, sometimes by mistake you can touch it changing the temperature. If that isn’t the problem then lets check if the compressor motor is working fine, if you hear it still running but the temperature is still not the right one, the problem could be something else like the condenser, evaporator or the compressor itself and that may require professional help.

Q: Why is my freezer building up ice inside?
A: Usually when you are able to see ice in a self-defrost freezer is symptom of heavy frost built -up on the evaporator coils. To actually see this a professional needs to remove the panel inside. But what you can know for sure in this type of cases is that the problem is with the self-defrosting system.

Q: How do I prevent bad odors in my refrigerator?
A: We suggest that you clean it at least once a month. You could clean the outside the inside with bleach or baking soda. Then leave a cup of grounded coffee or baking soda inside your refrigerator and replace it every month to keep your fridge smelling nice.
